Artsy... Really Though?!

Today I have been doing a bit of blog shopping and I stumbled across an Aussie "artist" living in Japan ( who thinks its pretty cool that he is living there) and he is an artist indeed... His art consists of  these dolls which I believe he calls "Carnival Girl Stands" and I guess its art or maybe an obsession or a fad... something Nonetheless I guess you could consider him artsy...

I would call him an artist! Not to mention that his art (3 pieces) will be on display a group show at Artbox Gallery in Ginza, Tokyo, which started this past Monday the 9th of August.

1.) SUPPORT THE ARTS

    There's so much you can do to look artsy, so find something you like that you can stick with,  ie: aren't   these gigantic strutting peacocks in peacoats great?

Most artsy people wear glasses, right?

5.) BUY A UNIQUE PURSE

Find a plaid purse in a non-mainstream color, like green and yellow.

Sometimes, skinny jeans aren't right for everyone, but if you look good in them, wear them!

7.) ACCESSORIZE

Deck out your purse with pins and sayings, like "The End Is Near!" or "I Love Nerds." Get chunky earrings, necklaces, and bracelets and wear them whenever possible.

8.) FIND A UNIQUE COFFEE CUP THAT'S ALSO PORTABLE

10.) DEVELOP A POSITIVE ATTITUDE TOWARDS LIFE

Have you ever seen someone with matted knots in their hair and considered them artsy: you aren't a suffering artist are you?

12.) SUPPORT LOCAL ARTS-SCENE EVENTS

Have fun at art shows, music festivals, charity auctions, and museums and you might always pick up some original work -- artsy stuff...

13.) PATRONIZE THE LOCAL ARTSY CAFE

Is there a little cafe down the street? Think about going there to make it your home away from home. Contribute a piece of artsy art to brighten the atmosphere, make friends there. Go there to read, browse the web, and gossip. Stay away from big chain cafes like Starbucks.

14.) SCRAPBOOK

Being artsy is more than a look, it is a way of life. Everyone is unique, but we often "squash" this uniqueness to fit in. Think about all of what comprises your being, and embrace it, without appearing too odd or annoying.
